Car Dealership Website Design in the UAE and Qatar: What Turns Visitors into Test Drives
A dealership site's job is booked test drives, pre-orders and service appointments. Here's how distributors in the UAE and Qatar structure model pages, launch pages and lead routing — with lessons from our Jetour G700 and 212 Changfeng work.
A car dealership website in the UAE or Qatar is not a brochure — its job is to turn interest in a model into a booked test drive, a pre-order or a service appointment. The sites that convert do four things: show each model in a way that feels premium, keep one clear next step on every page, make booking take less than a minute on a phone, and send every lead straight to the right showroom.
Here is what that looks like for distributors and dealer groups.
What should a dealership website actually do?
| Visitor wants to… | What the site needs |
|---|---|
| Explore a model | A showcase page per model: imagery, key specs, trims, colours |
| Book a test drive | A short form: model, branch, preferred time, phone |
| Pre-order a new model | A clear pre-order or register-interest flow with what happens next |
| Compare costs | Trim prices or "from" prices, offers, and a finance estimate |
| Service their car | Service booking by branch and date |
| Find a showroom | Branch locator with map, hours, WhatsApp and call |
Most dealer sites try to do all of this on one crowded page. The better pattern is a clean model showcase with one primary action — usually "Book a test drive" — and the rest one tap away.
Why model launches need their own pages
New model launches are when interest peaks. A dedicated launch page — hero film or photography, the few specs buyers actually compare, and a pre-order or test-drive action — captures that demand while it is hot. Campaign ads then point to a page built for that one model instead of a generic homepage.
A reusable layout system matters here: when the next model launches, the team adds a new page from existing sections instead of designing from scratch.
What loses leads on a car website?
- Heavy media that loads slowly. Car sites are image and video-led. Unoptimised video on a mobile connection loses visitors before the car appears.
- Long forms. Asking for ten fields to book a test drive. Name, phone, model and branch is enough to start.
- No price signal. Buyers want at least a starting price or trim prices before they call.
- Leads that sit in an inbox. A test-drive request that reaches a showroom the next day has often gone cold.
- Template look. A flagship SUV presented on a generic template undermines the price tag.
Buyers decide whether to visit a showroom from their phone. The website is the first test drive.
What we learned designing Jetour G700 and 212 Changfeng
For Al Waha, the Jetour dealership in Qatar, we designed a premium showcase site for the Jetour G700: a dramatic hero showing the SUV in its element, clean model sections, and clear calls to action for test drives and pre-orders, with navigation kept simple and dealer-friendly. For 212 Changfeng, an off-road brand also in Qatar, we designed a cinematic landing experience with full-bleed imagery and motion that adds energy without getting in the way — and a layout system that flexes across models and campaigns.
The shared lesson: the vehicle does the selling. The design's job is to present it confidently and keep the path to a booking obvious.
A checklist for a dealership website
- One showcase page per model, with trims and key specs
- "Book a test drive" visible on every model page
- Test-drive form of four fields or fewer
- Starting price or trim prices shown
- Launch pages ready for campaigns and pre-orders
- Branch locator with WhatsApp and call on mobile
- Leads routed to the right showroom within minutes
- Images and video optimised for mobile data
Frequently asked questions
Should each brand we distribute have its own site?
If you distribute several brands, a separate site per brand usually works better for search and for each brand's identity, with shared booking and branch systems behind them.
Do we need a finance calculator?
It helps where buyers commonly finance, because it answers the monthly-cost question early. Keep it simple and link it to a finance enquiry rather than a full application.
Can test-drive requests go straight to our CRM?
Yes. Bookings can be sent to your CRM, a sales WhatsApp line or the specific branch, so the right salesperson follows up the same day.
