Adori.
A full redesign of a Doha custom-cake app — a brand that finally feels like a celebration, and an order flow customers can finish on their own.
Adori is a custom-cake e-commerce app in Doha, Qatar: customers design their own cake, and Adori bakes and delivers it. The project came through our development partner WeDigits, who built the app. Flowlix redesigned the brand identity and the full app experience — from the cake customizer to bundles, checkout, order tracking and loyalty.
The challenge
The old Adori looked dated and generic — an identity that didn't feel like cakes or celebration — and sales were weak. The bigger problem was the experience. Customers got stuck mid-order, or bought one item and went straight to checkout without ever discovering the bundles or the flowers. And although the app already let them customise a cake, many still called support or the chef to explain what they wanted.
What we designed
A new identity built for celebration — a script wordmark, a bold red-and-yellow palette and playful 3D illustrations — carried through the whole app. A step-by-step cake customizer for shape, size, flavour, colour and topping, with a live preview and the price always visible, so customers can design the cake themselves instead of calling. Bundles, flowers and add-ons are offered inside the order flow, at the moment they're relevant, instead of being hidden. We also added more options — occasions, toppers and extras — made every order state clear, and added paying in instalments at checkout.
Built for repeat orders
Occasion reminders let customers save birthdays and anniversaries and get reminded in time to order; any order can be saved as a reminder in one tap. A loyalty programme, 'candles', rewards orders, birthdays and referrals and redeems for real savings — so every order sets up the next one.
The outcome
A brand that finally looks like a celebration, and an ordering flow where customers design their cake themselves, see bundles and flowers when they matter, and check out without needing to call anyone. Flowlix designed the product; our partner WeDigits developed it.
The home screen, before and after
Before, the home screen led with order cards and one cake category — flowers and bundles didn't appear at all. After, cakes and flowers sit side by side as the first choice, the live order shows its delivery window at a glance, and offers lead straight into an order.
